John 16:33

These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.

Lamentations 3:22-25

Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, for His compassions fail not. His mercies are new every morning, great is Thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait on Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outward man is perishing, the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen in temporary, and what is unseen is eternal.

Keeping Myself Accountable

I am working really hard at memorizing some scripture. I know lots of bits and pieces, but haven't ever learned "chunks" of my favorite verses or verses I can use when going through different things. I am going to start posting them so I can keep myself accountable. My first one to tackle was Psalm 100, and here goes(I'm writing this from memory!)--

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands
Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before His presence with singing.
For the Lord, He is God. It is He who has made us and not we ourselves.
We are His children, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise
Give thanks unto Him, and bless His name.
The Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting and
His truth endures for all generations.
